Vivo recently confirmed that it will unveil the Vivo S30 series of smartphones this month in China. The series includes a compact offering called the Vivo S30 Pro Mini and the standard S30. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed that the S30 will be equipped with a brand-new Snapdragon 7-series chipset.
Vivo S30 could be first phone with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4

In March, DCS revealed that the Vivo S30 would be equipped with a new Snapdragon chip with model number SM7750. Today, the tipster has confirmed that this chip will be called the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

This indicates that Qualcomm may unveil the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip later this month, and the Vivo S30 could be the first phone to feature it. The tipster claimed that it will be manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process with a 1+3+4 core setup. While it promises good power efficiency, the architecture reportedly sees little change, making it a modest upgrade focused on the mid-range segment.
As far as other specs are concerned, the Vivo S30 will feature a 6.67-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 6,500mAh battery, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope camera, and a metal middle frame.
The Vivo S30 Pro Mini, on the other hand, will also have the same battery, periscope camera, and middle frame. However, it will have a smaller 6.31-inch OLED 1.5K screen like the X200 Pro Mini and will feature the upcoming Dimensity 9400e chip.
